APRIL FOOLS DAY 2005

April Fools Day is a fantastic day in the year. It is the opportunity to play a practical joke on people within the allocated time. We here at McCarthy Industries take April Fools seriously, we love it - possibly even more than Scott McCarthy loves himself. Last years events saw many number of strange things happen - most notably though a small palm tree appeared on Oakmeeds field, and the Statue of Stability got covered in toilet roll. This, coupled with many weird and wonderful occurrences at Oakmeeds, made for a fantastic day. Wishing to keep a lower profile this year, we concentrated our efforts on only one idea, and implemented a small number of these. So here is 2005's April Fools Day

McCarthy and Chris Traylen look forward to a night out A chalk body, reminiscent of an American murder scene. Who could commit such a crime in Burgess Hill?
Chris studies this one, found in the alley linking Western Road with Royal George Road McCarthy is shocked at the emergence of another one, this time in St Johns skate park
This one was found at the bottom of one of the skating ramps Chris checks out this person, who died in what must of been an extremely painful position
This young chap appears to have died on the skate ramp Chris draws round McCarthy
A fine effort. Why did this young man not take art? McCarthy is fully drawn round
And it leaves this fine imprint This poor chap has lost a leg near the statue of stability
Ah wait, here it is A rather strange looking body by Cyprus Road car park. And people ask McCarthy why he didn't take art for GCSE
The decapitated head didn't come out too badly though We return in the morning. It looks even worse in the light
Why is hair stops a quarter of the way across his head is a burning question The St Johns effort looks good
