are a side that should be on the up. A nice new
stadium in the Ricoh Arena, and a decent manager
in Brighton legend Micky Adams all looks good.
Until recently they had been stuck down the
bottom, but with a superb run after Christmas
have pulled well clear. A tough first visit for
the Albion to the Ricoh, as Neil Kane, Scott
McCarthy, Tom Witham and Gemma Bantock made the
trip |

Tom
Witham was at the controls as the Witham Mobile
made the journey into the midlands |
| Team: |
Mr
McGhee went for his usual 4-4-2 formation, with
the team lining up: Henderson, El-Abd, McShane,
Butters, Lynch; Carole, Hammond, Carpenter,
Frutos; Hart, Robinson |

Coventry
went for their home number of sky blue and white
striped shirts, sky blue shorts and sky blue
socks. Brighton chose their away colours of all
maroon, while Wayne Henderson decided on a green
goalkeepers shirt with black and white coloration
on the sleeves, coupled with black shorts and
stockings |

McGhee's Attire: |
Mark
chose his traditional outfit of light blue
shirt, no tie, black blazer and black trousers,
and with a distinct drop in temperature, he
decided to wear his famous black anorak for the
second period |
| Weather: |
A
grey sky was all around Coventry, but the
weather was distinctly average with regards to
the temperature |

Rating: |
Being
the newest ground currently in operation in
England, the Ricoh Arena is as modern as they
come. Slightly different to all the new grounds,
its main stand features an absolutely huge wall
and a form of garden patio doors. These add a
different character to the ground. Rather
impressive. 7/10 |
| Food
Rating: |
McCarthy
found his hotdog to be of a particularly nice
persuasion, and it was priced at a bargain
£2.50. 7/10 |
| Entertainment: |
Full
credit to Coventry City in this department.
Cheerleaders were aplenty before the match, and
some form of penalty shoot out made the half
time very interesting. However, the crème de la
crème of all pre-match entertainment was on
offer, as a man in an elephant costume proceeded
to do all sorts of acrobatic feats. It really
was special, and if there was nudity present
this rating would be a 10. 9/10 |
| Friendliness
of Locals: |
The
AA man that had to be called out due to our tyre
problems was rather friendly, as was the man in
the turnstile and the people around the city who
helped us in an hour of need . 8/10 |
| Standard
of Local Females: |
Coventry
was poor in this department. The only person who
gave any help in this department was a young
lady working in BP. They were put even more to
shame as we drove past a group of around 8 girls
who would definitely have got it in nearby
Leamington Spa. 2/10 |
| Steward
Rating: |
Not
very good at all. We were far from impressed
when Neil Kane was threatened with ejection for
making a simple wanker gesture. 2/10 |

Attention: |
There
was no feasible position in which to tie up the
flag today |
| Match
Report: |
Coventry
City continued their recent good form with a
decent 2-0 victory over clueless Brighton. It
took until the 43rd minute for the sky blues to
open the scoring, when the evergreen Dennis Wise
popped up with a header to make it 1-0. He added
his and Coventrys 2nd in the second half, and if
it wasn't for Wayne Henderson pulling off a
string of fine saves, the scoreline could of
been a lot more in the home sides favour |
| Thought
of the Day: |
Concerned
with the fact this was a new ground for the
Crocs on Tour faithful, McCarthy asked the
simple question "Do you know where we are
going?". Witham's answer was just as simple
- "No". McCarthys response was
"Looks like we will just have to feel our
way through like a blind man in an orgy" |
