| Another
big game in the chase for the play-offs saw an
Easter Monday clash as the Albion traveled to
the City Ground to face two-times Champions of
Europe Nottingham Forest. It was a first train
journey beyond London in just under a year, and
as such this would mean alcoholic consumption
would be at a normal high. This wasn't aided by
the fact we left Brighton at 6.30am, arriving in
Nottingham for 10.30am, and our train home left
the crime capital of Britain at 7.30pm - leaving
us with 7 hours in Nottingham, with the play-off
battle taking up only 2 of these |

of Transport: |
Nottingham
and back was achieved with a £13 ticket thanks
to a cheap deal, and saw us travel via train to
London St Pancras International, then onwards
and upwards to the city with the worst gun crime
in the country

Mr
Wilkins chose to name a 4-4-2 line up consisting
of: Kuipers, Hart, Elphick, Lynch, Mayo; Cox,
Racon,
Thomson, Martot; Murray, Forster

Nottingham
Forest were in their famous home attire of red
shirts, white shorts and red socks. Brighton
appeared in their alternative uniforms
consisting of white shirts, blue shorts and blue
socks. Michel Kuipers dazzled the crowd with his
aqua and gold jersey, navy shorts and navy socks

Mr
Wilkins was once again in his tracksuit, with
trench coat and white dancing shoes

| Weather: |
A
fresh day was in order in Nottingham, although
there was a bright Easter sunshine present.
Minimal snow was spotted on the journey

| Stadium
Rating: |
This
stadium held a set of matches at Euro 96, and it
is not hard to see why. Three separate, large
stands ensure it is a fine arena for this level
of football. 7/10
|
| Food
Rating: |
A
rare occurrence in Crocs history, as no food was
taken inside the stadium. This was put down to
queues
|
| Entertainment: |
No
entertainment was noticed inside the arena
|
| Friendliness
of Locals: |
The
Nottingham fans we met in a pub local to the
stadium were delightfully friendly, and indeed
very unhappy with their sides progress. However,
their rating is wiped out due to the fact that
one local decided to take issue with the Crocs
later in the evening, and attempt to rearrange
McCarthy's jaw. 0/10

| Standard
of Local Females: |
A
fair few decent women seen around the ground,
along with the traditional 'plastics' on our
visit to the cities Hooters. 7/10

| Steward
Rating: |
Very
helpful in aiding with flag erection, and
allowing the visiting support to stand. 8/10

| Flag
Attention: |
The
Crocs flag was present and correct, and was even
viewable on television. However, it was to be
the swansong of the Federico Turienzo Memorial
Flag, as flag bearer Mark Potter would go onto
lose it at some point later in the day. It may
be gone, but it is not forgotten. RIP 9/10

| Match
Report: |
Brighton
moved into the play off positions on goal
difference thanks to a hard fought 0-0 draw
against Nottingham Forest. With two reserve team
full backs in the side, it took a superb
performance to secure the point, with Michel
Kuipers in inspiring form between the sticks.
Brighton had their chances to win, with Nicky
Forster and Tommy Elphick going close, but at
the end of the day the point was a great result
for the visitors in their request for a return
to the Championship

| Thought
of the Day: |
After
McCarthy was punched in the face by a random
Nottingham resident, he considered it a let off
given Nottingham's appalling crime record,
especially with regards to gun
