PRESTON
NORTH END - TUESDAY 05/04/2005 |
|

|
|
REPORT |
| Lancashire
on a Tuesday night - its a dream come true
really. The 6 hour trip to Preston was a
daunting one to say the least, but the fact that
we would return at 4 in the morning did not put
off the dedicated Crocs on Tour. With Brighton
having lost 5 games in a row prior to this
match, no-one was expecting anything from
play-off chasing Preston, whose Deepdale ground
also holds the National Football Museum |

Scott
McCarthy can hardly contain his delight! |

 |
| These
nutritious wine gums went down a treat |
Tom
Witham had this book to make the journey pass,
and it even had a waterproof cover to prevent
spillages |
 |
 |
| Scott
McCarthy had this fantastic radio. It wasn't
working at one point, which made him quite
angry. Only then did he discover the headphones
were not plugged in |

As

The
journey wouldn't be complete without a picture
with the driver |
 |
 |
| And
they then discus the destination of the day |
Witham's
minidisk player gives hours of entertainment,
with songs to sing along to for the journey.
Today's favourite being Tina Turner, with
'What's love got to do with it'' |

 |
| It
is so inspiring, Witham is tempted to strip |

We

 |
| Tickets
are bought, as McCarthy decides Preston should
get a glimpse of the pink goalkeepers jersey |
Into
the National Football Museum, and here is an
example of some early Subutteo. |

 |
| McCarthy
can't believe how bad things are going |
The

Witham takes this blurred photo quickly, to
prove we did get into Preston's half |
The

| The
players applaud the fans |
And
troop off the pitch, knowing they are in the
bottom 3 |
 |
 |
| On
the way home, and we get a photo of Ape
sleeping. Unfortunately, the flash woke him and
several people behind him |

excited |

unfortunately we had to mount Liz again for the
remainder of the journey |
