McCARTHY IN CANADA


After months of slaving away at Esso Haywards Heath, McCarthy had saved up enough pennies to fly the nest that is Burgess Hill and spread his minor celebrity status to a new part of the world. His chosen destination is Canada, he has family ties out there, but also made no secret that the country was chosen due to the lack of black people!!!

WEEK ONE: 28/04/07 - 04/05/07
The opening week of the trip began in Vancouver, and would see McCarthy begin his trek through the notorious Rocky Mountains
WEEK TWO: 05/05/07 - 11/05/07
The continuation of the trip through the Rockys, including McCarthys skydive and the disastrous events of the Columbia Icefields
WEEK THREE: 12/05/07 - 18/05/07
McCarthy enjoys a relaxing weekend in Whistler, before embarking on the three day train journey across the country to Toronto
WEEK FOUR: 19/05/07 - 25/05/07
A busy week, as McCarthy takes in the CN Tour, the National Hockey Museum and loses his MLS virginity at Toronto FC v DC United
WEEK FIVE: 26/05/07 - 01/06/07
McCarthy loses his baseball virginity, attends a live WWE Event and begins the next stage of his trip by heading to Montreal
WEEK SIX: 02/06/07 - 8/06/07
McCarthy explores French Canada, as he partakes in whale watching and mass drinking in Quebec City and Montreal
WEEK SEVEN: 09/06/07 - 15/06/07
A busy weeks sees McCarthy visit the capital city Ottawa, complete a bungee jump, partake in white water rafting and go wilderness camping in the Algonquin Park
WEEK EIGHT: 16/06/07 - 22/06/07
The tour sees McCarthy return to Toronto, featuring plenty of baseball, plenty of drinking and a day trip to one of the natural wonders of the world, Niagara Falls
WEEK NINE: 23/06/07 - 29/06/07
McCarthy takes in an overnight stay at Niagara Falls, before moving onto stay with friends in Woodstock, where he drives the Canadian highways for the first time
WEEK TEN: 30/06/07 - 06/07/07
National Holiday Canada Day is taken in in Sarnia, and McCarthy completes his week in Woodstock before moving back to Toronto
WEEK ELEVEN: 07/07/07 - 13/07/07
McCarthy completes his coast-to-coast travels by making it to Halifax, before moving onto stay with a family friend and do some whale watching
WEEK TWELVE: 14/07/07 - 20/07/07

WEEK THIRTEEN: 21/07/07 - 27/07/07
McCarthy leaves Nova Scotia after two weeks for a visit to Saint John New Brunswick, before returning to Toronto as Aston Villa are in town
WEEK FOURTEEN: 28/07/07 - 03/08/07
The last full week in Canada sees more baseball, more soccer, more gambling, and disaster strike as McCarthy goes deaf in one ear
