Everybody knows that McCarthy has somewhat of an obsession with Germany. So when the chance was offered to visit two German cities on a weekend break, he literally jumped at the chance. Cologne features the Fatherland's most visited tourist attraction in the epic Cologne cathedral, which is said to house the bones of the three wise man from the nativity story. It is also home to a delight beer called Kolsch, and of course the German tradition of sausage. A day trip to the former capital Bonn was also planned, which was the administrative home of the country when it was split into East and West Germany. It was all set out to be another excellent trip to the worlds greatest nation for McCarthy, Upton, Witham, Kane and debutant Jon Kelly
