McCarthys Diary

Bridget Jones did it, Samuel Peeps did it, Adrian Mole did it - now Scott McCarthy does it. A diary is a great way of sharing thoughts, feelings and actions from a persons life. And straight out of McCarthy Towers comes this diary. Experience the highs, lows, the laughs, the tears, everything that happens - right here!

Today signals the start of the last week on university before Easter, and as such fans of Scott McCarthy in Burgess Hill will be delighted to hear that he will be returning to Sussex next Friday. This return coincides with what is potentially one of the most exciting projects that McCarthy and Peter Chapman have embarked on, and unlike the Burgess Hill Star Wars/Wrestling Match/Re-done Amarillo/Burgess Hill Olympics/countless other projects that never happened, I believe this one will get off the ground. Things are still in the early developmental stage at the minute, but I am sure more details will be released soon

Recently, McCarthy has re-discovered his love for Pokemon on the Game Boy. The particular version I am currently ploughing through is Red, which I last completed just short of nine years ago. Once this is done, I will then crack on with the version of the game I have never completed thus far - Pokemon Gold. Having gone very quiet on the gaming front over the last few years, I have also begun playing a ludicrous amount of Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii, including on-line battles with Peter Chapman, in which I haven't disgraced myself, and Bert Lloyd, in which to all intents and purposes I have been raped. For those who wish to play against Burgess Hills Favourite Minor Celebrity, you can add me with the following friend code: 1762-5812-4068. Please send me a Facebook message or get in contact with some way with your friend code, and let battle commence. I do hasten to add however, that this is only my university on-line Wii capability. Currently, there is no such facility at McCarthy Towers, but hopefully this will be addressed for the summer break

Ii is going to take something very very special to top this last week in terms of week of the year in 2009. Since Wednesday, McCarthy has consumed a ludicrous amount of alcohol, won a decent amount of money betting, had three brushes with the law including one photo, been asleep in a public road again on a mattress, gained a ridiculous amount of free items, bled, vomited and gone on a 16 hour long sleep. That is the sign of a good week

You can see all of the action in the Cheltenham Gold Cup 2009 page. What the last five days have taught me though is that the liver is a wonderful wonderful invention - and I once again have a lot more inspiration for my book

The latest addition of Feeling Randy is now on-line on Itunes, follow the link on the home page to get it as we discuss the one armed BBC presenter with a variety of people. Thank you to Chapman for his help in snorting it out.

Finally, happy birthday to Mark Potter for tomorrow, and I can only hope he gets smashed

I think its pretty safe to say why I have done fuck all updates recently, as the redesigned website indicates. What has happened is that I am due to start work on my first book soon. For now though, my arms out, my foot hurts, I am horrendously hungover after a ridiculous 24 hour consumption rate of alcohol, and I just want to go to bed - so bugger it, I am. You can expect a more in-depth update next time - probably in April, then
