SCOTTS SECRET DIARY

Bridget Jones did it, Samuel Peeps did it, Adrian Mole did it - now Scott McCarthy does it. A diary is a great way of sharing thoughts, feelings and actions from a persons life. And straight out of McCarthy Towers comes this diary. Experience the highs, lows, the laughs, the tears, everything that happens - right here!

It has been a shocking amount of time since my last update, and for this I apologise. Not much has happened, apart from the usual sorts of activities. The main event of the last few weeks took place on Friday with the Hassocks FC Dinner and Dance. Needless to say it was a night in which heavy drinking took place, culminating in a party at Pat and Joel Harding's house, where drinking continued. I don't think I need go into details, most know the ludicrous story of what happened and I will therefore skip over it like a child playing hopscotch

As exams draw closer, McCarthy kids himself that he will begin revising soon. However, a combination of a shocking work load from college, cricket and finding this annoyingly addictive GAME mean that it is not likely that things will get any easier.

One problem McCarthy has noticed is the increasing habit of drinking on ridiculous days of the week. For the past two weeks now it has been Thursday nights in the Weald that have taken over the agenda, as McCarthy and Lane continue to poor money into this fine establishment. And as tradition dictates - here is another commentary

Finally, the date of the BBQ has nearly been set now, once several things can be confirmed. Those lucky enough to be chosen as guests for this event that will no doubt be talked about for years to come - as the last one is - will hear about it in good time. All I will say is that there is no fear for football fans, as this years event will follow the lead of the 2004 effort, and will take place in July, ensuring it does not clash with the world cup.

Wednesday 03/05/06

Hello there folks. It has been somewhat of a melodic week since my last entry. The reaction to myself and Morons performance at the Talent Show has been better than I could have hoped for, with both of us receiving looks of an evil nature and being described as "sick, sick and even sicker". It feels good to be back. College slowly ticks away, and with the enduring pain of doom that is the approaching exams, Scott McCarthy cannot guarantee his sanity, let alone any regular updates to the fine piece of craftsmanship that I call my website. However, one light in what appears to be an otherwise cavern of doom is the BBQ. The date for this years one is still not none, but one well-known fact is that it will have to be structured around Englands world cup campaign, a campaign which since the injury of Wayne Rooney, is no doubt going to see Peter step up to the mantle of world killer

Friday saw McCarthy take a day off college for the educational reason of a trip to see Hampshire v Sussex with Tom Witham. It was the first long-distance journey of my career as a driver, and the M27 proved a road on which speed, and most importantly frustrating fellow motorists happened on abundance. Saturday was the last Hassocks III game of the season, and we finished with a fine 4-2 win over local rivals and reigning champions Wisdom Sports. The evening saw the team 'shant', which involved myself and several team mates visiting the Top House and Bar Cena. Sunday was another 'shant', taking in 80's night in Mooch, which culminated in McCarthy leaving in a Waitrose trolley, and with Owen John at the helm promptly saw Your Favourite Minor Celebrity end up in the road on no less than 2 occasions, 1 of which has re-ignited the back trouble that I thought I was shot of

Finally, the Mid Sussex Times has yet again featured myself in its pages, this time in the sports section, with a large piece on the youth teams 5-1 win over local rivals Burgess Hill. The best part of the article happens to come in the second paragraph of the second column, reading "But Hill continued to press, and it took a breathtaking double save from Hassocks 'keeper Scott McCarthy to ensure it remained 3-1 at the break". Here it is for your enjoyment:
