Friday 29/10/04These diary entries are like London Buses - none for ages, then 2 come along at once Yesterday McCarthy's hair was marvelously chopped around the sides, and Mr Peter Chapman bought gifts to the Towers that he had purchased during his World Tour. These included a big lolly thing, an addidas headband and a set of figurines from The Muppets. All these were greatly recieved by myself. I also took a step forward into the revolutionary world of TV, with the purchase of a video camera. It now means that the big project, McCarthy TV can begin. Firstly, it will be the project 'McCarthy - The Life and Times'. A short video on the life of a minor celebrity. This includes footage from the Chapman School of Driving, on how to park! It is sheer comedy, and can be seen in the PIZZA HUT CHALLENGE PAGE by clicking the link at the bottom Tonight is also the night of the ultimate Crocs on Tour - 24 hours wiith Stewart and Witham, as the evening starts at the Witham Manor, and continues for the trip to Sunderland. A full review will, of course, be available on the Crocs on Tour Pages! Exciting Times Wednesday 27/10/04Ok people. I know - this has not been updated at all this month. And for that, I apologies. October is the busiest month in the calendar for McCarthy Industries - and here has what's been happening Scott McCarthy Day 2004 - a wonderful dinner party attended by distinguished guests. Photos on-line now. The return and growth of the Underground Grapevine - some classic threads are growing now. Get on there, get registered, and get posting! The new front design in time for Halloween, featuring our dearly loved Jamie Jones. The start of McCarthy's first venture into the world of literature, with 'McCarthyism - The Essential Guide for all you Scott McCarthy fans out there'. And finally, just for all you Leeds fans out there, including my business partner Mr Peter Chapman, BRIGHTON BEATING LEEDS 1-0! And so we look to the future. The biggest and greatest Crocs on Tour outing yet takes place this weekend! The illustrious 3 of myself, Tom Stewart AND Tom Witham will be joined by notable others for the 7 hour trip to the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. It will all be featured on Mac Industries, of course! Yesterday, myself and Ali Mac went to London - and I finally found the Beatles shop, purchasing for myself a John Lennon wig and glasses. Tomorrow, my hair will be being trimmed. I feel it is premature for the loss of blondeness, so I will probably just be going for a trim round the side. Remember, you can keep up with lots more of these personal developments HERE, on my greatest journal thingy Loads of stuff has been updated recently - Big Day Out, The Big Question, Scott McCarthy Day 2004 and loads of other stuff which I forget. And for those critical ones out there who claim that it is not updated enough and leads to you being bored - GET ON THE BLOODY UNDERGROUND GRAPEVINE. And my site is updated more than Burgess Hill Uncovered - SO THERE! Monday 04/10/04My shocking neglect of the diary has probably ruined all your lives. But fear not fans, I am back. So, why no updates I hear you cry? Well, there has been Bonfire Night coverage for BHU, Kelly Salmon, Tom Walmsley AND Andy Cole's birthdays to celebrate with wild parties, the return of Marle Place, Brighton's charge up the league, a return to Oakmeeds and the planning for Scott McCarthy Day 2004. Plus college! So, Marle Place have returned with an easy victory. The Marle Place site has a new look, so have a look. Brighton are ABOVE Leeds United in the Championship, a fact that has rather angered both Peter Chapman and Mark Love Y'all, although Leeds do have a game in hand. McCarthy returned to Oakmeeds for a talk about the benefits of going to Haywards Heath College, and is now talking to Year 6 parents on Thursday. And Scott McCarthy Day is less that a week away. Plans so far include a dinner party for distinguished guests in the Dinning Hall of the Towers, and one lucky lady will win an evening out with myself. That lady is yet to be chosen, but as long as she is single and good looking I will not be complaining. Parties recently have been exciting. Kelly's saw some distinguished, most notably Jamie Jones, soon to be featured on this site, get rather drunk. Walmsley's involved a delightful curry, and Andy Cole's was like a whose-who of Oakmeeds. Kieran Elliot, owner of Mierosoft, the Mac Industries of the current Year 11, was there. Along with Mark Love Y'all, famous Leeds fan and brother of Adam. Of course, the magic man Andy Cole was there, and many of McCarthy's great fans. And one lucky lady, called Carina, even got a lift home in the Mac Mobile. She almost got walked home by myself, but the thought proved too overwhelming, so it was a lift instead The transfer window is now open in the Mac Industries fantasy league, and here are the current standings:
Jamie Jones has kept his place at the top of the table, and both him and Kev 'The Ape' Ticehurst have started to pull away from the chasing pack. Chapman is leading that pack, jumping up 4 places from last month, while Chris Traylen and myself are in pursuit. The middle is very tight, and injuries and suspensions could lead to any number of changes. Its a marathon not a sprint, but at this early stage Come on Newcastle and Ape United have established themselves as the Arsenal and Chelsea of the league. But with the transfer window open, if the other managers make wise changes, it could all change |
