Thursday 30/10/08 Halloween approaches dear listeners, and I really do not have anything to add to this entry bar that. McCarthy has been undertaking a number of university-based projects lately, which have been constricting his time somewhat. But November is set to be a month full of fun and frolic - McCarthy and Collin attend WWE Raw live with the chance to appear on television, and that is to be followed in December by yet another McCarthy weekend away - this time, joining Tom Witham and Andy Rumble in Barcelona, where we will be hoping to take in Barcelona v Valencia at the Nou Camp. Recent famous people spotted include Richard O'Brien while working at Esso, dressed rather flamboyantly I would like to add. Once the purchasing of some envelopes and stamps have been made, I will also be returning to that classic winter task of writing to fellow minor celebrities in the hope of gauging a response. The best is still Noel Edmonds by some distance, although this was in the days when his career appeared to be over, before Deal or No Deal had the common sense to fire him back onto our screens. I will get around to uploading the latest details on the Cheltenham Pub Challenge, hopefully in the next week should things remain at a low peak work wise, while negotiations continue to be at a delicate stage about an exciting new mac-i venture. Tuesday 13/10/08 Well listeners, it would be wrong not to begin this entry by wishing you a belated Scott McCarthy Day. Yes, last Friday I celebrated another milestone birthday, reaching the grand old age of 21. This was celebrated by myself and housemate Alex Retter visiting 11 pubs in Cheltenham, drinking 13 pints of alcohol, and reigning in McCarthy Day by performing a fantastic rendition of that Duran Duran classic 'Rio' on the Playstation 3 game Rockband. Our mission to visit every pub in Cheltenham is coming along nicely now, and I hope to later this week add our efforts as a page on here for all of the fans to see what exactly has been going down in the hood. Saturday saw McCarthy and co travel to Wembley for the England v Kazakhstan game, details of which are now in the McCarthy Day XXI section. It was a good day all round for Burgess Hills Favourite Minor Celebrity, as I picked up £42 worth of betting winnings, courtersy of Rio Ferdinand scoring the first goal, the draw half time-England full time combination, and selecting the closest minute to the first goal in the Mac-i sweepstake. Meanwhile, an exciting addition to the McCarthy Media portfolio could be in the pipeline. Negotiations are at a delicate stage currently, but an exciting new media experience could be about to eminate from the McCarthy Pad in the not so distant future, so keep your noses peeled for that one | ||
