Monday 19/10/09 Another ludicrous weekend has been and gone. This saw Sam Upton and Jon Kelly attend Cheltenham for a Friday night of delight, in which we lasted the distance in the traditional Friday night venue of Fever. Saturday saw us go on an epic road trip to Rotherham in search of Sven Goran Eriksson, and I am delighted to report that we found the great man alive and well in the directors box of the Don Valley Stadium. That is all there is to report, as we move rapidly towards this years pre-Christmas foreign jolly up, with departure for the epic trek across Romania, Moldova and Ukraine only two weeks away Monday 12/10/09 Another year past, another Scott McCarthy Day gone. This years celebrations were muted in terms of previous years, there were no dinner parties, no extravagant celebrations in the Weald, no pints in every pub in Burgess Hill followed by sleeping in The Weald. Friday saw me travel to Gloucester to take in Gloucester's thrilling victory over Newport Gwent Dragons in the Heineken Cup, and on my return home I promptly rendezvoused with several fans in a pub, where I proceeded to get incredibly mullered before hitting a club. This is where things took a turn for the worse, as Burgess Hills Favourite Minor Celebrity appeared to stack it over in the middle of a dancefloor in true comedy fashion, before returning home and waking up with half a toasted cheese sandwich next to his face on Saturday morning. The events of Friday night meant that McCarthy Day was, as was the case last year, a bit of a write off, with football being played and then a brief visit to the Irish Oak in the evening. All in all not a bad set of celebrations of the beginning of my twenty second year on planet earth. Wednesday will see McCarthy return to Wembley for the last qualifier of the World Cup campaign, making it a 100% record for attendance in the run up to 2010. Saturday is also rumored to be the day when McCarthy and Upton go in search of Sven Goran Eriksson, who we have got to hope will be in the dugout at the Don Valley Stadium following Ian McParlands sacking as Notts County manager earlier today And finally, while talking about football, please check out this website that McCarthy has recently begun writing articles for. Five ratings and coments calling me a tosser will be more than welcome. http://www.footballfancast.com/user/2556/myffc Friday 02/10/09 Please read my ARTICLE and rank it as a FIVE. Many thanks | ||
