FASHION GUIDE 2005

He's a Fashion Guru, an Ambassador of Style. Blessed with a gift of being at the height of fashion, Scott McCarthy knows his stuff. Alongside Elliot Gwynne, the two were trend setters at Oakmeeds with blazers, scarves, hats, waistcoats, canes and briefcases. Now they lead Haywards Heath College into a fashion revolution. Exclusively to McCarthy Industries, here is Scott McCarthy's fashion guide for 2005!

CASUAL WEAR

Going shopping with the wife? Down the pub for a few quiet ones? In this day and age, you have to look good everywhere you go. And with this handy little number, you can look good and feel comftable at the same time. The tweed jacket is easy to fit into, it is smart but not over-the-top. Any t-shirt can be worn with this outfit, but its best modeled with something with a well-known face/logo to it. Stylish jeans are thrown in, and go for casual but smart shoes - in this case a handy pair of bowling shoes

THE LONDON LOOK

When you're heading into the city, you want to blend in with the locals. Create an impression of power, and command respect from those on the street. You can't go wrong with the business man look. It has connotations of power, and says "I'm going straight to the top". The long overcoat is a must, and as the winter chill kicks in, the scarf and leather gloves are vitally important. The briefcase adds to the overall effect, and smart, black shoes complete this ensemble. Throw in a famous McCarthy twilby hat, and you're set to daze

TRAIN SPOTTING/BIRD WATCHING LOOK

Want to give that impression of a middle class chap, who enjoys rural retreats? If yes, then this is the outfit for you. Perfectly designed for an afternoon of bird watching, it is equally fit for the past time of train spotting as well. The hat, similar to a twilby, originates from Ireland, and coupled with the jacket, makes for a perfect combination. A black, long sleeved shirt goes well with it, especially as it could be chilly on Platform 11 at Clapham Junction. Any trousers and shoes can be used with this costume, although grey ones are suggested to complete the middle class look. Additional binoculars are also recommended, just to finish of the bird watching look

BEACH WEAR

As the greenhouse effect and global warming continues to ensure the Earth is hotting up, summers become warmer and warmer. And where better to cool off than at the beach? This costume ensures that you keep cool, and look cool. Using traditional Hawaii patterns, those sexy women in bakinis won't be able to resist you. Matching shirt and shorts, both of which are made of swimming materials, allowing you to enter the sea in them, mean you can't be missed. And to step that neck burning, the handy sombrero completes the look

THE CLUBBING LOOK

Heading out for a night on the town? Looking to pull? Then this is the one for you. This stylish little number is highly recommended for a night out clubbing, a big party, or even a casual meal in a curry house. The traditional black blazer is nicely complemented by a stylish pink shirt, guaranteed to attract the ladies. The black trousers match the jacket, and these stylish grey shoes are just dazzling. They are also comftable, and easy to dance in, meaning you can blow everyone on the dance floor away when you get down and shake it

SOPHISTICATED SMOKING

Whether it be tobacco or cannabis, this little get-up is the perfect look for enjoying a smoke. The robe is a traditional Chinese smoking jacket. Made extra long, it will billow behind you as you walk, creating a cloak-like effect. It also features traditional Chinese patterns around the sleeves and the neck. This Russian hat features a similar pattern, and creates an image of power and sophistication. To make the most out of this look, a pipe is highly recommended as your method of smoking. It completes the sophisticated look. Any undergarments may be worn with this collection

THE SOPHISTICATED LOOK

When entertaining guests, meeting an important client for the first time, or engaging in political debates, it is important to dress snappy for a good first impression. If this is your aim, then this little beauty is what you need. Used personally by Scott McCarthy for important public engagements, it creates a first impression of a man with style and principle. The blue blazer may look like something from Butlins, but when couple with a blue tie looks dazzling. This stylish waistcoat is not too formal either, and the gold, 'hobbit' like look creates a humble image. The black shit is important, as it is the same colour of the trousers, while well-polished, black shows complete this look

PROM LOOK

When you are heading out to the theatre, to a big event, or to the Last Night of the Proms, that is the time to dress to impress. Everyone brings out their best clothes, and looks their best. And why should you be any different? Another one used by McCarthy at big public events, it is style at its height. The traditional blazer goes well with the waistcoat, featuring prominent Disney characters. Show some patriotism in the way you dress, with a Bow Tie featuring the British flag. The white shirt is customary for a big event, and creates a sign of purity and good. The black trousers, and impeccably polished shoes complete this look. Throw in the additional extras of a cane to walk with, which shows your power and authority. The bowler hat, traditionally associated with the Conservative Party, but now a common accessory, completes this look, which is sure to have on-lookers watching in awe of your supreme fashion sense
