New Years Day
is traditionally an excellent day on the footballing calendar.
People harbouring hangovers attempting to recommence drinking and
watch a game of football in the freezing cold. With no football
league games on this year, it meant that McCarthy, Kane and Jones
were forced to uphold the tradition by visiting The Dripping Pan,
where a huge Sussex derby was taking place between hosts Lewes and
Eastbourne Borough. Not one for the faint hearted
Kane
and Jones enjoy the pleasant train journey from Wivelsfield to Lewes,
with Kane making the chronic error of purchasing a return, when he would
