THE
HAMSTERS CAGE |
| Mac
Industries play their home games at the
intimidating Hamsters Cage, The Triangle,
Burgess Hill. Holding 18,000 fans, it has been
the home of the club for the past 3 seasons,
since leaving their former ground at Janes Lane.
Highlighted as one of the best grounds in the
county, it has unrivalled facilities for both
players and fans. Visiting supporters are housed
at the North End of the ground, in the Tom
McCarthy Stand, where up to 2000 can be accommodated.
At the South End of the ground is the
intimidating Non-Clock End, hence named due to
the fact it has no clock. Holding 6000, it is
the biggest stand at the Cage, and is often
compared to The Kop at Liverpool, the North Bank
at Highbury, and the Stretford End at Manchester
United. On the West Side of the ground is the
4500 seater Barry Smith Stand, and opposite, on
the east, is the Bert Lloyd Family Enclosure,
along with the Greg Allen Stand, in which
another 4500 can be accommodated. Disabled fans
are not discriminated against at the Cage, as
the Peter Chapman Disabled Enclosure caters for
all their needs. Below is a stadium plan:
