6th Annual Robert Eaton Memorial Match
Friday, 27th April 2007
Dripping Pan, Lewes.
By Peter Chapman

The 6th Annual Robert Eaton Memorial Fund game had a new venue this year as we said goodbye to Southwick, and welcomed the Dripping Pan as the new home.
A crowd of approximately 300 turned out to cheer on the Brighton Supporters team, as they once again locked horns with their Crystal Palace counterparts.
With the Seagull's up 3-2 in the series, Scott McCarthy was drafted into the squad to provide goalkeeping cover to ensure that the Brighton team had all bases covered as they looked to extend their lead.

Signed Brighton and Crystal Palace shirts, available to win at the end of the evening. A signed 'I wanna moonwalk like Bas" T-Shirt, as featured on Soccer AM
The fans in this impressive stand would go on to witness the dramatic shootout from it. And here is the great view available as we see the Brighton fans warming up.
Chapman and Potter are delighted to be at
the Dripping Pan on this special evening.
Charles Ball, aka Strike, was the first person that they bumped into, yeeeeeah.
The gentleman's drinking club flag was proudly displayed on the main terrace. However, it pales in comparison to the mighty 'Crocs on Tour' flag.
McCarthy and Kane warm up ahead of the big match. Last year's man of the match waves to his adoring fans.

Kev the Ape, Kinky Gerbils and Rumble. McCarthy gives the Hitler salute.

Brighton mascot Gully, and some girls. Perhaps they could be called Gully's girls? Gully's girls do some lovely dance routines, to the delight of all the men and lesbians in attendance.
Adrian was sure to use his camera's zoom function to get in nice and tight on the girls.
Ali Jenkins relaxes on the touchline.
Kev the Ape, taking a break from his numerous warm-ups. McCarthy ponders some tactical changes to get the Brighton fans back in the match.
Tom Walmsley is all smiles, despite the career ending injury sustained during the game. Neil takes some much needed blue powerade onboard as penalties loom.
McCarthy and Kane celebrate with the Crocs on tour flag as Brighton win 9-8 on pens. Shootout hero 'Seagullible' is asked for an autograph from Roz moments after the victory.
Manager Andy Rumble receives the Robert Eaton Memorial Trophy. Rumble and man of the match Peter Griffin hold the trophy aloft with great pride.
Kane celebrates with a Strongbow. McCarthy kisses his memento.
Neil plants a big one on the Robert Eaton memorial trophy. Kev is all smiles, who'd have thought that he'd come on to replace Paul Rogers!

Chapman wins a lovely botte of gin, although receiving it from Dave the gaffer was much more of a thrill. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone, but Dave did manage to auction off this signed Palace shirt for £70
McCarthy and Brett Mendoza head off to Brighton, but who's that in the back?
It's none other than Albion legend Ricky Marlowe! Putting his safety in the hands of Scott McCarthy is not a smart thing!
