| The
excitement had been growing for days, and it reached the point of
explosion when Scott McCarthy boarded his luxurious Easy Jet aircraft
for the 2 hour trip to Valencia. The journey passed without incident, as
the free magazine that was given out by the rather attractive cabin crew
proved to be a simply fantastic read - especially the part where it
lists interesting sites in certain cities. The fact that Berlin has a
gay museum was very interesting - McCarthy decided that this would have
to be visited at some point in the future.
On arrival in Spain, a
quick coach journey was taken to our hotel. This was simply a scene that
secreted marvelous emotions - not even the fact that McCarthy would be
rooming with Palace fan Adam Belton could ruin the prospect of this fine
trip. The room was well equipped to a Minor Celebrities needs, as the
images below suggest

| After
unpacking the equipment, it was decided a tour of the training complex
would be in order. The facilities were expected to be top notch, as they
were used by the Valencia first team as well as all of their academy
sides

| In the
evening, it was decided that a trip to Heron City would be in order.
This was a massive entertainment complex with bars galore and other such
entertainment mediums. The great thing about Spain is the laidback way
the people take life - McCarthy was sat out with the group until
midnight in a bar at this place, enjoying a pint of a rather dashing
beer called Mahou. McCarthy then moved off with a few associates to the
peace of the bowling alley bar, where another Mahou was enjoyed. A quick
taxi journey back to the hotel was enjoyed, before the Minor Celebrity stumbled
across Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back on the TV. It was in Spanish,
but being the diehard fan that McCarthy is, he understood all of it.
Sleep was the endured, in preparation for a tough Sunday
