The problem
with lower league football in January is that it often falls victim
to the weather. This was the case on January 10th, as McCarthy and
Alex Retter made their way to Walsall to witness what would have
been an epic day of League One football between Walsall and
Brighton. As it happened, the game was frozen off, and having
already made Birmingham, the decision was taken to attend an
alternative game. So, for cheaper than it would have been to watch
the original game, they found themselves heading to Molineux to
witness Coca Cola Championship leaders Wolves take on Preston
